Terms of Service

Draft. This Terms of Service is a draft for NOJU's review and isn't in force yet. A lawyer should check it before it is.

These terms are between you and NOJU ([NOJU's legal entity name, company number and registered address: Ghassan to fill in]), which makes Joinable. "You" means the person or company with a Joinable account. By creating an account or using Joinable on a game, you agree to them.

What Joinable is

Joinable is a software development kit (the SDK), a hosted relay that connects players, a developer dashboard and an agent kit for coding agents. It's in beta: features change, some are marked "soon", and prices are beta prices.

Your account

• You sign in with your email address. Keep access to that inbox secure: anyone who can read it can sign in.
• You're responsible for what happens under your account and for the games you connect to Joinable.
• You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, and able to agree to these terms. If you sign up for a company, you confirm you may bind it.

Your games and your players

• You own your game. We don't claim any rights to it beyond what we need to run Joinable for it.
• Your players use Joinable through your game. You're responsible for telling them how their data is used, in your own privacy policy, and for the content in your game.
• Don't put personal data, secrets or payment details in the state your game shares through Joinable: every player in a room can read it.

Using Joinable fairly

You must not:

• use Joinable for anything illegal, or to harass, harm or deceive people;
• use the relay as general messaging or hosting for things that aren't games;
• attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the relay beyond normal use of the SDK, or get round keys, origin lists, plan limits or rate limits;
• collect players' personal data through Joinable without their consent.

We may pause a game or account that breaks these rules, or that puts the service or other customers at risk. Where we can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

Plans, payment and credit

• Sandbox is free. Paid plans (Starter, Pro, Studio) are billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe and renew until you cancel.
• Player-hours beyond your plan come from prepaid credit at the rate shown on the pricing section. When plan hours and credit are used up, new online rooms pause until you top up or upgrade. Rounds already playing are never cut off, and solo play always works.
• Prices include or exclude tax as Stripe shows at checkout. [Ghassan: confirm Stripe Tax and NOJU's VAT registrations.]
• We may change prices. For a plan you already pay for, we'll email you at least 30 days before the change applies, and you can cancel before it does.
• Cancelling and refunds are covered by the refund policy.

Availability

We work to keep Joinable running, but during the beta there's no uptime guarantee except in a signed Enterprise agreement. The SDK loads in the background, so if Joinable is unavailable your game keeps working single-player.

Our rights

Joinable, the SDK, the relay, the dashboard, the agent kit and the Joinable brand belong to NOJU. You may use the SDK and agent kit to build and run your games with Joinable. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.

Liability

Joinable is provided "as is" during the beta. To the extent the law allows, NOJU isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to what you paid us in those 12 months. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Ending

You can stop using Joinable and close your account at any time by emailing us. We may end these terms if you seriously break them, or with 30 days' notice if we stop offering Joinable.

Changes and contact

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and, for changes that matter, email account holders before they apply. These terms are governed by the law of [jurisdiction: Ghassan to fill in]. Questions: hello@getjoinable.com.
